Little JB

Little JB, in need of a deeper sitting position, sadly wilted over to the side of her pot. In response, plant mum dug a hole and placed Little JB deeper into the soil, not realising that this would stump the growth of Little JB’s baby shoot in days to come.

Noticing the now blackened shrivelled shoot, plant mum gave Little JB a drop of water and placed her back on the window sill hoping that the spring time sun would work its magic.

Low and behold, a short time later a new shoot reared its little green head, growing out from just above its late sibling.

After the trauma of change, with the nourishment of a little water, sun and soil, Little JB had found a way to recover and start again.

Too often we allow ourselves to endure negative situations for fear of change. For fear of the unknown. It might well be that making a change will result in an issue getting worse and sacrifices may need to be made, but more often than not, this is a short term loss for long term gain. The road of recovery towards happier, healthier and sunnier days is possible so long as you have the right factors and support around you. If plants can adapt to change, then so can we.
